Of Writing And Gratitude

At 10.26 am today Sri Lanka time, I submitted the last batch of content to my editor for final proofreading. I can’t help but feel a huge sense of completion. The kind that makes you want to rush out of your hotel room and do a little chicken dance in front of all the kids at the poolside. Ever since I came back from US last October, I wanted to write a book but procrastination and self douut got in the way. It was only in February this year that the book idea came back with a new found fervency. Credits go to my partner-in-crime, Andrew. After an email and a 53 page proposal from him, I was adamant to make it happen. And from the way things are going, it’s going to happen.

Have You Ever Wish To Become A Better Speaker?

Let me share with you a quick lesson that I have learnt recently from watching the a downright hilarious movie - Evans Almighty.

In the movie, Congressmen Baxter (played by Steve Carell) prays to God that he wants to change the world while his wife prayed for the family to get closer. Shortly after, Baxter was approached by God (played by who else but Morgan Freeman) to build an Ark just like Noah in Genesis. After much resistance and denial, Baxter accepted his mission and went ahead to build the Ark.
