Three Powerful Reasons Why You Should Join This Coaching Program

Eric in action (speech coaching)

If you have been a frequent visitor of The Public Speaking Blog, you will realize that I seldom do promotions or get you to buy anything unless it serves a purpose i.e. the product helps you become a better speaker in the shortest amount of time. Today is such a occasion.

I have three goals for this blog entry.

One, I want to be FULLY TRANSPARENT to you and tell you only the truth.

Two, I will reveal the profound but strangely unknown reason why you are struggling with public speaking or any other skills in life.

There is a astronomical number of public speaking resources out there on the web and it is almost impossible to read every one of them. Agree?

What if there is someone who compiles all the quality entries and update them at a period you request (say 10 mins?).

This means that you will have the latest and most relevant speaking strategies at your disposal. And instead of searching for them like a needle in haystack, you can now read the selected few and be assured that they are the best.

Thanks To You, The FAQ Book Has Hit Kino’s Best Seller! *Do The Chicken Dance*

I just got wind from my publisher that The FAQ Book on Public Speaking has hit Kinokuniya’s bestseller! (DO THE CHICKEN DANCE!) And we are very close for MPH and Borders. Not sure how many books we sold thus far but hey, bestseller at one of the top bookstores in Singapore… that should mean something right? And here’s the best part, we haven’t been actively promoting the book. So I suspect it has got to do with YOU! So here’s a BIG hug from me and Andrew.

The Public Speaking Blog Has Turned TWO! (Read On To Grab Your Free Gift)

Can you believe it?! This blog has survived for yet another year! I once read somewhere that 4500 blogs are created everyday and almost 80% of them never lived through first year. That’s why I think it is absolutely legitimate to kick a BIG FUSS for being around for 730 days!! Judging from the number of exclamation marks I have used in one line, you can tell how excited I am. C’mon, I wasn’t even that excited about my own birthday this year…
So how has The Public Speaking Blog fared for the past one year?

Mission Impossible at Millennia Institute (23rd Feb)

We just completed a four week speech coaching program with Millennia Institute. As part of the finale, we organized a speech competition among themselves, idol style. Couple of insightful pointers that were brought up by the judges which deserved to be studied here. I promise to be brief. (grins)

Book Talk at DP Architects (and What To Do When PPT Fails You)

It has been two months since the launch of my first book The FAQ Book on Public Speaking but it felt like a year, thanks to the flurry of PR events organized by my team.

Till date, we have been featured on most major media publications - Business Times, Lianhe Zaobao, Team NS magazine (Mar) and Her World magazine (Apr). We were interviewed live on TV by Channel News Asia and on radio by News Radio 93.8 (The Living Room & F Cube)

Speech Coaches Going Crazy! (Yuan Ching, 15 - 16th Feb 2008)

It has been a crazy month for us (me and the other four speech coaches - Doris, Danny, Gary and Sabrina!) as we travel around Singapore working with adrenalin pumping kids (or monkeys as some teachers fondly call them by). Our first stop was Yuan Ching Secondary School who have the most adorable teens. Check out some of the pics we snapped along the way.

Check out the L.O.V.E in the air… (grins)

That’s Sabrina monkeying with the kids! Doris is in the far right.. our disciplinarian.

Watch Eric’s Virginal TV Appearance on Prime Time Morning (Channel News Asia)

It was really awesome to be on live national TV and to be sitting so close to Suzanne and Dominic whom I have been watching from my TV set for the past one year. The highlight of the morning has to THIS! (scroll down to see the photo)

I was grinning away like a thirteen year old schoolboy for the entire day… even now.

Ok you must be wondering - what’s the occasion?

Radio Interview: Feel Good With Melanie & The FAQ Guys (22nd Jan, 1.30PM SGT)

Hear ye! Hear ye! Andrew and I have been invited again to the local radio station (938LIVE) for another live interview with Melanie Oliveiro. She is the anchor of F-CUBE: Food, Fun & Feel Good, a lifestyle oriented radio show that is highly popular with Singaporeans, young and old.

We have yet to get the questions from Melanie but I do know that the talk will be on The FAQ Book on Public Speaking and our after thoughts. So if you are in Singapore, come join us for a chill out session! Click here to listen live.
