The destination is simply a PAUSE before the next journey!

Hoooorrrayyyy!!! We did it. The public speaking workshop held last Friday at San Yu Adventist School was a resounding success. The participants got what they have intended for and I had helluva fun making it happen. I would like to take this opportunity to share with all of you my thoughts and pictures taken that day!

For the past two years, I have collaborated with various organizations to conduct public speaking programs. But I have never got to do one of my own. Last month I decided that enough is enough. It was about time I venture out and create one of my own. This workshop became a manifestation of such an intention.

But here’s the strange thing. When I finally set myself to make the workshop happen, everything just falls in place. Ideas came naturally and I knew what I had to teach. Participants signed up one week before the workshop. And just the right number that I intended. No more, no less. Some of my friends even offered me to rent me various equipements like the videocam and digicam for free! The venue was also more or less confirmed.

It was only a couple days before the workshop that I was tested. I lost the venue and had to search for one within two days. There were moments of doubt: “Perhaps this workshop was just not meant to be.” However upon reflecting how far I have came, I knew it was impossible. It was then I decided to push on. Shortly (and that’s like within 24 hours), I got a new location! AND… another training opportunity! The principal, upon reading the program blurb, wanted me to teach the entire secondary four students. WOW! Sometimes things happen for a reason. In my case, losing the venue was definitely a blessing in disguise.

So my friends, it is true. When you set your heart, soul and mind to make something happen, it will. Like the famous quote in Paulo Coelho’s book “The Alchemist” stated: When you want something really badly, the whole universe will conspire to help you achieve it.

Now that a miracle has happened, I am too hyped up to stop. As Joe Vitale wisely pointed out: The destination is simply a pause before the next journey. In my case, the next journey has already begun. Simply awesome!!!

Enjoy the fruits of this miracle…

This workshop would not been possible if not for my lovely assistants, Eileen and Jacky (who took this pic!)

Believe me, the universe is on your side!!! Start creating miracles in your lives!

I am super impressed Eric - and the timing is perfect! I’ve been trying to put together a program like this for some time now and I haven’t had the inspiration, motivation, or confidence, but you really brought it all together by yourself. GO ERIC!
