While reading through The FAQ Book on Public Speaking, what really amazed me was Eric’s sincerity in answering the questions. The answers were not just answers but also an elaboration of tips, strategies and advice to help the reader be a better speaker.
Eric did not answer them solely based on his instincts. He took the extra effort to add in concrete references from books and examples to make everything more understandable.
On top of that, his generosity in sharing his experiences, his mistakes, his learnings make this book more personable. The book become one that is NOT just based on cold, hard, dry techniques. He must have done a lot of research and homework before presenting those answers to his readers. Kudos to Eric!
Inviting other authors to contribute to the answers also allow the readers to observe the different views presented by different authors for each question. In this way, the reader can gain more insights to the different answers presented. Indeed, a book worth investing in!
