Who Says Friday The 13th Is An Unlucky Day?

As some of you from the SpeakEZ mailing list may have learnt, I have agreed to take up an overseas training assignment in Sri Lanka after much consideration. The opportunity to set up a team and train them in the business including how to present is simply irresistible. The contract is six months long which means I will not be able to conduct any more training workshops for you until end of the year! As you can imagine, I am quite sad as I enjoy the face-to-face interaction with all of you…

Fortunately, The Public Speaking Blog will still be up and going. In fact you will be expecting more activities since I will be focusing my outreach efforts online. (YAY!) Talk about a blessing in disguise.

In order to thank all of you - especially those who have taken time to attend my seminars - I have organized a series of chill-out sessions where we can simply CHILL OUT! This would be a great opportunity for you to pick my brains and ask me ANYTHING about public speaking.

Who says Friday the 13th is an unlucky day?

Think of this as a complimentary coaching session with me where you can get direct answers to nagging questions you have about your content or delivery. If you want, you can even bring your laptop and get me to review your presentation slides. For the hardcore, you can even conduct a short 5 mins presentation in front of a real life audience and I can give you my honest feedback. There are not many of such sessions I can organize. Probably 3 sessions before I leave for Sri Lanka.

So yes, this is YOUR only chance to pick my brains and get me to spill the beans for every tip, tactic and technique in crafting a successful speech!

This chill-out session will also be an excellent platform for you to build your personal network and get to know people who could be instrumental in your new venture or current business.

Our maiden chill-out session will be held in this really cool Internet cafe call The Geek Terminal, also nicknamed as The G-Spot! (grins) It’s located just a stone’s throw away from Raffles Place train station and boast of high-quality (and cheap) cappucino, free wireless access to Internet, on-demand positionable power sockets, extra-rugged and futuristic PVC chairs, laptop-friendly tables, sound-proof private rooms and top-notch wine!

Date: Friday 13th, 2007
Venue: Geek Terminal
Time: 7 - 10pm

If you think this is too good to be true, there’s more!

I have requested the CEO of Geek Terminal, Chris to organize a wine appreciation session for you as well. So on top of catching up and getting some complimentary coaching on your speech and presentation, you will also be taught by a professional on how to enjoy a glass of red wine. He has promised to open about 4-5 bottles depending on the turnout.

Still, the focus is on meeting up with you! Both for our chill-out and complimentary coaching session where you can ask me anything under the sun on public speaking.

What’s the catch you may ask?

Only one. There are LIMITED number of invites I can send out since I want to spend quality time with EACH of you. So do yourself a favor by sending a “YES I WANT TO COME ON FRIDAY!” email right now to eric@ericfeng.com to reserve a chair-space.

Yes… right now!

There’s no reason to procrastinate on this one. There’s only that many opportunities (three in fact) for you to have someone willing and committed enough to answer all your burning questions that will help you become a more effective speaker, someone who can charm the audience and have them engaged, excited and at the edge of their seats at all time.

See you on Friday!

Cheers,
Eric Feng
Your Public Speaking Coach

P.S: Oh, don’t forget to ready your questions… and be prepared to have loads of fun this Friday!

Congratulations on the gig Eric, and what a great idea for a coaching format. Too bad Singapore’s a little far from Boston :-)

Haha.. I will snap some pics and show them to you Laura. Also, I was thinking of recording the coaching session. Let see how things work out. Take care!
